A research technician position is available in the Research Division at the Greenwood Genetic Center to assist with the maintenance and care of the Center’s aquatic facility. This work includes daily duties such as feeding, water and system maintenance, establishing crosses of zebrafish lines, general animal husbandry, and performing PCR-based genotyping methods. In addition to the aquatic facility responsibilities, this position will also involve bench research activities including mammalian cell culture, protein biochemistry and molecular biology.

A BS or BA degree in a biological science major and some research experience in genetics, biochemistry or molecular biology are required. Experience working with animals is preferred but not necessary.
