On Saturday, May 9^th, 2026, at 10:30 am, Hospice & Palliative Care of the Piedmont will host the 27^th Annual Butterfly Celebration.  This special occasion is a live butterfly release on the Hospice grounds (Courtyard between Administrative building and Hospice House).  The event is sponsored by the Friends of Hospice Committee.

The event will be held in honor or in memory of special friends and family.  The live butterflies are available for purchase at a cost of $15 each.  They may be purchased up until the day of the event or online at https://bit.ly/2026ButterflyCelebration. A lovely note card will be sent to the person that the purchaser honors on their form...or a card to the family of the person that is to be remembered.  All forms must include complete addresses so that we may send the cards.

On the day of the release, participants will receive a small white box containing one butterfly.  Participants will receive the number of butterflies that they purchase.  You do not have to be present to release the butterfly.  Hospice & Palliative Care of the Piedmont will have children present to release the butterflies purchased for those who cannot attend.
