2026 “Small Business Person of the Year” Award

Nomination Guidelines: 

The Greenwood SC Chamber’s Small Business Council (SBC) is pleased to announce the 35^th annual “Small Businessperson of the Year" Award.  The honoree shall be an outstanding professional and dedicated to their business and community.

The individual selected will be honored at the SBCs Small Businessperson of the Year Award Luncheon.  Please submit your nomination on or before Wednesday, April 15^th 2026, by 5:00 p.m. The nominator and honoree will be notified the following week.

 Nominations Guidelines:

Company should have a physical location in Greenwood County (represented in the Lakelands area)

The company should be less than 200 employees

Company and business representative have been engaged in the Greenwood community for a minimum of 3 years AND is a member in good standing of the Greenwood SC Chamber for the past 2 years

Nominee should not be a current member of the Chamber’s Board of Directors

Nominee should not be an elected official or an “announced” candidate for an upcoming election

Self-nominations are permitted

Nominees who are employed by a governmental organization are not eligible.
