Maclain's Public House - Lughnasadh Celtic festival

Saturday, August 1, 2026 (5:00 PM - 10:00 PM) (EDT)

Description

Lughnasadh (Lue-nah-suh) begins the harvest season in Ireland, Scotland, and the Isle of Man on August 1st (halfway between the summer solstice and autumn equinox). It is one of the four Celtic seasonal festivals, along with Samhain, Imbolc, and Beltane.
Lammas is old English for “Loaf Mass Day”, a Christian holiday English-speaking countries on August 1st. It marks the blessing of the First Fruits of harvest, with a loaf of bread being brought to the church to be blessed.
Clay Babies will be returning for the evening to celebrate Celtic Autumn. Join us for a porch fire, great music, and a taste of our own Lammas bread!
Wear your Celtic pride and enter to win either a MacIain’s Engraved Shot Glass OR a $10 Gift Card! Arrive for the night in your best Scots-Irish outfit and you can enter the raffle just by being here. No Celtic attire? Throw something green on. Raffle entries close at 6:30 pm and the drawing is at 7 pm. See you there!
