ASSISTANT NUTRITION TECHNICIAN /DELIVERY

Description– To assist in serving/delivering breakfast, lunch and snacks to preschool children by preparing food according to approved cycle menus, following guidelines and regulations established by USDA, Head Start and DHEC. High School Diploma or a combination of education and experience commensurate with the job responsibilities. Comparable Pay and State Benefits. Employment Type: Full Time.


CASE WORKER

Description- To manage a case load that provides opportunities for eligible children and families to receive support services encompassing health and parenting skills within the objectives of the Head Start Program/Early Head Start Program. BS Degree Sociology, Psychology, Social Work or related field. Minimum two years work experience in a social services environment. Working knowledge of personal computer software (ex. Microsoft Office Suite) programs required. Valid driver’s license required.  Bilingual preferred.   Must obtain a Commercial Driver’s License within 90 days. Comparable Pay and State Benefits. CENTER COORDINATOR  

Description- To ensure the daily operations and delivery of services to Head Start Program participants, including education, nutrition, recruitment, parent involvement, volunteers, staff supervision, security and property maintenance are in compliance with the federal, state and local regulations which govern early childhood programs. Coordinate with Head Start components and local resources. BS Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field plus 18 hours in Early Childhood Education. Two years teaching experience required; 3-5 years of supervisory experience. Valid driver’s license required. Must obtain a Commercial Driver’s License within 90 days. Working knowledge of personal computer software programs required. Comparable Pay and State Benefits. Employment Type: Full Time.


CENTER CUSTODIAN

CUSTODIAN/PART TIME - To perform cleaning tasks and operate various types of cleaning equipment to care for and maintain assigned buildings and related facilities. High School Diploma or equivalent skills required such as reading cleaning supplies labels and instructions or a combination of education and experience commensurate with job responsibilities. One year experience in janitorial activities desired.


CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Plan, direct and manage the overall activities of the financial, accounting, budgeting, information technology and purchasing functions of GLEAMNS. Ensure compliance with GAAP, state and federal mandates, and grant requirements. Oversee audit functions. Work with other department heads to monitor program budgets and requirements. B.S. Degree in Accounting or Finance, or B.S. Degree in Business with a minimum ten years finance experience is required. Master's degree in Accounting or Finance, and/or a Certified Public Accountant designation is preferred. Minimum five years’ experience in financial or accounting management required. NUTRITION TECHNICIAN

To serve and supervise the serving of breakfast, lunch and snacks to preschool children by preparing food according to approved cycle menus, following guidelines and regulations established by Child Care Food Program, Head Start, DHEC and SC Day Care License. High School Diploma or Equivalent. Minimum two years experience in quantity food service; one year experience in Child Care Facility preferred; minimum one year experience in supervision preferred. RECEPTIONIST CLERK

Responsible for receptionist duties relating to operating the PBX telephone system, greeting visitors, and providing clerical support to Center staff. High School Diploma or a combination of education and experience commensurate with the Job Description.  Minimum one year related work experience in an office environment. Valid South Carolina Driver’s License. Must have knowledge of basic elements of correct English usage, spelling, vocabulary, grammar, punctuation, and arithmetic; principles of letter and report writing; and filing systems. Must have ability to communicate with a variety of people, work independently, and maintain strict confidentiality of program data. Must be cooperative and display a positive attitude towards working as a team with other staff members. Must exercise discretion and sound judgment in the performance of assigned duties.  Comparable Pay and State Benefits. Employment Type: Full-Time.


Registered Dietician
Responsible for the management of the Nutrition Services in ten counties to comply with all regulations established by the Child and Adult Care Food Program within the South Carolina Department of Social Services. Head Start Performance Standards, and DHEC regulations. Must have a current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association or be eligible, registered and ready to take the examination OR a Master’s degree (MPPH or MS) from an approved program in public health nutrition may be substituted for this registration.  Comparable Pay and State Benefits. SUBSTITUTE
Description - High School Diploma or equivalent plus experience working with preschool children in a Child Care Center. Courses in Early Childhood may be accepted in lieu of experience. Valid South Carolina Driver’s License required. Comparable Pay.  Employment Type: Temporary.


TEACHER   

Description - To teach and supervise children in child development centers to ensure that appropriate skills, knowledge and behaviors are learned. Plan and provide appropriate children’s activities for the classroom. BS Degree in Early Childhood Education, Associate Degree or Certificate in Early Care Education or related degree and experience required. Must obtain a Commercial Driver’s License within 90 days. Comparable Pay and State Benefits.  Employment Type: Full-Time.


TEACHER II

Has primary responsibility for the appropriateness of the environment, the correctness and completeness of assessments, screenings, and children records. Fulfills all duties and responsibilities as caregiver for children assigned to the Teacher's primary care as specified for Early Head Start Program activities. Minimum of Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential (Infants/Toddlers) or Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. Valid South Carolina Driver's License required and Commercial Driver's License required in 90 days. Comparable Pay and State Benefits. Employment Type: Full-Time.


TEACHER ASSISTANT 

Description– To assist in teaching and supervising children in child development centers to ensure that appropriate skills, knowledge and behaviors are learned. High School diploma or GED required. Bilingual (Spa/Eng) preferred. Related work experience preferred. Must obtain a Commercial Driver’s License within 90 days. Comparable Pay and State Benefits. Employment Type: Full-Time.
